Smart Agriculture Application
Background
Smart agriculture has become a prevailing trend in global agricultural development, with countries worldwide expediting the implementation of smart farming strategies, and intensifying the application of various technologies, such as artificial intelligence, big data, and cloud computing, in the agricultural sector. This case study is based on the demand of a certain smart agriculture end-user, aiming to optimize fertilization and irrigation system.

Challenges
1. The ability to switch freely between manual and automatic modes to control water pumps, mixing pumps, fertilization valves, and fertilization pumps.

2. The ability to acquire weather station data and display it through LED screens.

3. The ability to collect soil-related data.

4. The ability to send data to third-party platforms through MQTT(Message Queuing Telemetry Transport).
Solution
1. Through PLC, managing pumps and valves, collecting soil data (temperature, humidity, EC value, pH value), communicating with LORA module, and controlling over a hundred valve switches.

2. Through FS6 IoT Touchscreen, collecting weather data, acquiring soil data by communicating with PLC, and displaying collected data by communicating with LED screen.

3. Through the configuration of Fway(IoT module for HMI) and MQTT, uploading data to third-party platforms.

Benefits
1. Significantly reduced the use of manual labor, achieved remote monitoring of device data.

2. Greatly improved operational efficiency through smart control and precise allocation.

3. Realized secured cloud-based data management, facilitated the digitalization of agricultural information.
